IS Programmer Analyst Undergrad/Grad Intern:
Employs entry level programming, configuration and design techniques that ensure adherence to software development standards, performance efficiency, reliable and maintainable code, and self-documenting programs. This role will leverage a basic understanding of application development methodologies and techniques. Duties & Responsibilities include: drafting and updating detailed project plans for small projects or portions of larger projects. Assists in testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting components of information systems applications. Gain an understanding of basic business processes and transforms them into programming logic. Follows standard policies and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

IS Business Systems Analyst Undergrad/Grad Intern:
Translates business needs into system requirements. This role will leverage the skills to clearly capture and articulate the client's processes, partner with the client to identify process improvement, and translate strategies into information solutions. Duties & Responsibilities include: Drafting and updating detailed project plans for small projects or portions of larger projects. Assists in testing, maintaining, and documenting components of information systems applications. Follows standard policies and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

Examples of possible internship projects include:

• Mobile website development
• Infrastructure and cloud automation work
• Interactive visualization of data from multiple competitor pipeline databases
• New direct-to-consumer email campaign deployment
• Creation of a segregated manufacturing network DMZ
• Microsoft SharePoint site design, development, and support

BEAM Picnic

If you dont know who we are, BEAM is an engineering outreach program designed to encourage underserved kids to explore the field of engineering. We've got another treat for you all! AIAA is excited to present Lockheed Martin Game Night, made possible by the company's generosity. The event is on Thursday from 7:15-8:45PM in Engineering IV 38-138. Learn more about Lockheed Martin and take this opportunity to network. Bring your resumes and interact with a recruiter.

There will be tons in store: board games, card games, you name it. Did we mention AMAZING prizes, including grand prizes that won't disappoint? Design Proposal Opportunity

Being involved in student projects has been one of the most rewarding experiences for AIAA members and has led to many fantastic internships and full-time jobs. And it's not too late to get involved for the year! Here is another AMAZING opportunity that we encourage anyone who is interested to participate and you can even get started over break:

The USC Graduate Team (they have won in the past) is competing again this year in AIAA's worldwide design competition. This year's Request For Proposal (RFP) is a NEXT GENERATION STRATEGIC BOMBER and they already have preliminary configurations sketched and are looking for some cooperation from UCLA's AIAA chapter - that's US! The majority of the project is working on a proposal that includes advanced aircraft analysis, lots of research on strategic bombers (awesome!), CAD-ing, you name it. They have a few minor tasks for us that can be completed on your own time, with or without a group, and remotely from wherever you are! We can't emphasize enough what a great opportunity this is! JPL SOSTC Annual Workshop

Description: Don't know how to approach recruiters? Still working on a personal "brand"? Need tips on your resume? Prepare yourselves for the winter quarter career fair with AIAA's infosession this Wednesday! Eliza Sheppard of Northrop Grumman will be discussing about how to advertise yourself to companies and land that job/internship you've always wanted. Although the infosession will not focus on Northrop Grumman, you may ask her questions about the company. As usual, food will be provided, so be sure to bring friends!

Interested in STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and math) outreach? Want to become a better and more awesome person? Look no further because Building Engineers and Mentors (BEAM) at UCLA is the organization for you!

BEAM is a student-run, engineering outreach program that does fun and exciting hands-on science activities with K-12 students (think science fair experiments). Our goal is to make science fun and encourage students to become engineers. We go to three different sites on a weekly basis (2 weeks left). But we will also be continuing at these sites next quarter:

• Mondays, 11/14, 11/21 2:30 - 5:30pm Young Oak Kim Academy (6-8th grade)
• Friday 11/18 1:30 - 4:30pm Aspire Firestone Academy (3-5th grade)
• Friday 11/18 2:30 - 5:30pm Aspire Junior Collegiate Academy (3-5th grade)

AIAA-ESUC-IEEE Joint Infosession with ATK

Description: ATK will be having a seminar on "A Career in GNC (Guidance and Navigation Controls) Engineering. The speakers will discuss the design and development of algorithms and go through the jobs and responsibilities of their roles as GNC engineers. There are various opportunities that relate to GNC engineering, catering to aerospace, mechanical, and electrical engineers: manned and unmanned aircrafts, missiles, launch systems and hypersonic flight vehicles, satellites and spacecrafts, and more! During the discussion, the engineers will provide tips on how to prepare yourself in becoming a GNC engineer.

There will be food and drinks provided, so bring friends!
