Los Blue Angeles (2006-2007)

"Los Blue Angeles" was designed for the AIAA, Cessna, and Raytheon Missile Systems Design/Build/Fly competition.  The 2006/2007 mission demands an unmanned aerial vehicle to be developed to be capable of internally carrying two payloads, both mock-ups of real payloads: a 3-lb air sampler system and a 5-lb camera ball system.  The aircraft must be able to complete two flight missions, speed and endurance, and two ground missions, deployment (assembly) and payload reconfiguration. The contest was held from April 19 to 22, 2007, and hosted by Raytheon at an RC airfield in Tucson, Arizona.
